About This Access Site
Albeni Cove offers convenient water access on the Pend Oreille River just upstream from Albeni Falls Dam near Oldtown, Idaho. The site features a one-lane boat ramp with a fixed pier, plus an on-site dock and swimming beach. The ramp provides launch access for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats heading onto the scenic river corridor, which winds through forested mountains and offers protection from severe winds—making it suitable for various small watercraft. A small campground with 14 sites and picnic facilities is also available for overnight stays.

To reach Albeni Cove from Newport, Washington, take Highway 41 south for about 0.5 miles, then turn east on Fourth Street into Oldtown, Idaho, and continue approximately 3 miles to the campground. The area is known for fishing and water sports, with beautiful scenery among firs, cedars, and pines.
