**Location & Access**
The American Lake boat ramp is located in Lakewood, Pierce County, near the north shore of the lake. From Tacoma, take I-5 south to exit 122 (Camp Murray/Berkley), turn right on Berkley, then left on Portland Avenue—the access point is on the left after the road bend. The ramp is approximately 20 feet wide, providing ample space for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats.
