About This Access Site
The Anderson Branch boat ramp provides access to the Fourche La Fave River and Nimrod Lake in west-central Arkansas. The Fourche La Fave is a scenic, medium-sized river that flows for around 140 miles through the Ouachita Mountains before reaching Nimrod Lake. The lake and surrounding parks offer excellent fishing, boating, and other water recreation opportunities.

The Anderson Branch access site features a concrete boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. A playground is also located on-site. While the nearby Carden Point Park offers 29 campsites with hook-ups, the Anderson Branch ramp is a day-use only facility. The official recreation area name is "CARDEN POINT", though Anderson Branch is the specific access point name.

Paddlers and boaters should note that the Fourche La Fave and Nimrod Lake may experience water level fluctuations, potentially limiting boat access at certain times. Overall, the Anderson Branch boat ramp provides a convenient put-in for exploring the scenic Fourche La Fave River and Nimrod Lake.
