Located off Annawamscutt Drive in Bristol, this state-owned launch provides convenient access to the west side of Mount Hope Bay and nearby waterways. The facility features a concrete plank ramp usable at all tide levels, with a recently dredged four-foot-deep channel from the ramp to deeper water. A large paved parking area accommodates 49 vehicles with trailers plus five additional spaces for trailerless vehicles, making it suitable for both motorboats and paddle craft.
From this access point, paddlers can explore Bristol Narrows to the north and venture into the Kickemuit River by following the shoreline. Keep in mind that Mount Hope Bay can be choppy, and the Narrows present tidal challenges—plan your paddling accordingly. The upgraded facilities and reliable water access make this a solid launching point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the bay and its river systems.
