The Hillsboro Area boat ramps provide access to the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge's perimeter canal and interior waterways, located west of Loxahatchee Road near Parkland. **Access and Navigation:** From I-95 (Exit 42) or the Florida Turnpike (Exit 71, toll), head west on FL-869/Sawgrass Expressway South, then take Exit 18A to US-441 North, and turn left onto Loxahatchee Road. **Important:** Approximately 6.2 miles of Loxahatchee Road is under construction through early 2027—follow posted detour signs to reach the ramps. The refuge also features a dedicated canoe trail, observation towers, and a visitor center, making it ideal for wildlife-focused paddling trips.
