About This Access Site
The Ashton Reservoir boat ramp provides access to Henry's Fork on the Henrys Fork Snake River in Ashton, Idaho. Located just 0.4 miles west of US Highway 20 (turn left immediately after crossing the river), this access point serves as both a launch for reservoir paddling and a convenient take-out for boaters running the river below Lower Mesa Falls. The site includes a boat dock facility suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats.

This access is part of the expansive Ashton/Island Park Ranger District, which offers extensive recreation opportunities across 700,000 acres. Paddlers should note that the Ora Bridge Boat Access is located approximately 0.9 miles downstream on river left, providing additional options for shuttle trips. The surrounding area provides good access to scenic attractions like Upper and Lower Mesa Falls, and the nearby Grandview Campground offers camping within 10 miles for those planning multi-day trips.
