About This Access Site
Astor Bridge Marina offers a full-service boat launch on Florida's St. Johns River in Volusia County, with a developed ramp ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The marina is located within a sheltered bay on the west side of the river just south of the Astor Bridge, providing protected water access and amenities including fuel, pump-out facilities, dry storage, and a ship's store. The facility features 60 slips with 30/50 AMP electric service and water hookups, plus a bathhouse with laundry facilities for those planning extended trips.

From this launch point, paddlers have excellent access to upriver springs and the broader St. Johns River system. The marina notes that even accounting for slow-speed zones, popular spring runs are approximately 45 minutes by boat from Astor, making this an ideal starting point for day trips or longer expeditions. Buck Lake Group Campground is available within 10 miles for overnight stays, and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge is nearby for wildlife viewing opportunities.
