**Location & Access:**
Avalon Public Boat Ramp #1 is located at 3120 Bonfire Drive in Milton, Santa Rosa County, providing access to Escambia Bay and Mulatto Bayou. This is a public launch facility open 7am–10pm with 2 launching lanes and unpaved ramp surface.
**Facilities & Amenities:**
The site accommodates approximately 15 boat trailer parking spaces and includes a courtesy dock, picnic pavilion, and restrooms. A freshwater wash-down station is not available, but trash receptacles are provided. Note that there is no lighting at the facility.
**Important Considerations for Paddlers:**
Before launching, be aware that all boats heading toward Escambia Bay must pass under the 14th Avenue bridge. While the exact clearance is not officially listed, similar structures in the area range from 13–16 feet, so those with tall boats or canopies should proceed with caution. The site is best suited for motorboats and larger watercraft rather than exclusively paddle-powered craft.
