About This Access Site
Back Bay Public Dock is a convenient public launch facility located on Lake Winnipesaukee in downtown Wolfeboro. The ramp provides access via several docks and a boat launch suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The site is free to use and offers ample amenities including nearby parking, restrooms, a visitor information center, and a playground—making it an excellent base for exploring this large, scenic lake.

**Important note for paddlers:** Access to the lake requires passage beneath a bridge with only 4.2 feet of clearance, so tall boat towers, canopies, or loaded roof racks may need to be removed or avoided. The facility is located one block north of the lake on Railroad Avenue, behind the old Wolfeboro railroad terminal. This makes it an ideal launching point for paddlers looking to explore the northern reaches of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake.
