Located on the Suncook River in Barnstead, NH, this access point features a concrete boat ramp with ample parking and easy launching for kayaks, canoes, and small boats. The ramp provides reliable access to a navigable section of river that extends approximately 1.5 hours downstream at a leisurely paddling pace toward the Parade Road ramp. The site is maintained by the Town of Barnstead and offers a convenient put-in for exploring the river's calm, relatively deep waters.
The Suncook River in this area is characterized by slow-moving water ideal for recreational paddling. Be aware that aquatic vegetation, including milfoil, is present in portions of the river, particularly as you approach the downstream lake section. Water conditions and access may be subject to seasonal changes, as the NH Dam Bureau occasionally performs maintenance work on the ramp and water management infrastructure. Check locally for current conditions before your visit, especially during spring months.
