Located at 2910 E. Cervantes Street in Pensacola, this 6-acre facility offers excellent access to Pensacola Bay and Bayou Texar. The launch features two launching lanes, non-floating courtesy docks, and 32 trailer parking spaces, making it well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site sits at the base of the Chappie James Bridge near the historic 17th Avenue railroad trestle (Graffiti Bridge), providing scenic paddling in a developed waterfront area. Portable restrooms are available on-site.
From this access point, paddlers can explore Bayou Texar's calm waters or venture into Pensacola Bay itself. The proximity to Gulf Islands National Seashore makes this a convenient launch for day trips to pristine beaches and coastal recreation areas. Several campgrounds operate within 10 miles, including Fort Pickens Campground, offering options for extended trips to the area.
