About This Access Site
Beaver Park is a full-service day-use boat ramp located in downtown Clatskanie on the Clatskanie River at river mile 1.2, offering convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The facility features a paved boat ramp, boarding floats, paved parking, restrooms, and picnic areas with barbecue grills. It's easily accessible off U.S. Highway 30 and Highway 47, making it ideal for paddlers looking for a quick launch on hot summer days. Nearby services in downtown Clatskanie are within walking distance.

From Beaver Park, paddlers can explore approximately one mile of the Clatskanie River before reaching the Columbia River confluence. The location provides a scenic route through the lower Clatskanie River valley, with proximity to the Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for the Columbian White-Tailed Deer. Note that signage at the site alerts boaters to report any sightings of non-native Mitten Crabs.

For more information, contact the park at (503) 397-2353. This is an excellent starting point for both short recreational paddles and longer trips connecting to the Columbia River.
