About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Located in Goshen off US-33, Benton is an easily accessible boat ramp on the north side of the Elkhart River Bridge. The parking lot is situated on the west side of US-33, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats.

**Paddling Options:** From Benton, paddlers can head downstream (south) with two main route options: continue toward the waterfall feature and main Elkhart River channel, or take the Benton Spillway route, which can be tighter with less water flow. The site features a dam and spillway system, so be aware of these structures when planning your paddle.

**Facilities & Amenities:** This well-developed access site offers year-round restrooms, a drinking fountain, picnic areas with river and woodland views, an accessible latrine, hiking trails, and a small reservable shelter. The area also provides opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing, making it a good base for a half-day or full-day outing on the Elkhart River.
