About This Access Site
Big Cypress Bayou Landing is an improved boat ramp providing access to Big Cypress Bayou in the Caddo Lake State Park area of Harrison County, Texas. The site features approximately 500 feet of highway right-of-way and a developed launch facility, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The ramp provides direct access to Mill Pond and Big Cypress Bayou, allowing paddlers to explore the bayou's scenic waterways.

The surrounding area offers additional amenities for day-users and overnight visitors, including picnic tables, nature trails, and fishing opportunities. Caddo Lake State Park provides various lodging options such as screen shelters, cabins, and campsites with and without hookups for those planning extended trips. Paddlers should note that the bayou features creek systems including Arenosa Creek and Niciper Creek on the left as you travel, with State Highway 21 crossing approximately 3 miles east of Chireno.
