Big Marine Lake (North)

Located on Mayberry Trail west of Lofton in Marine on Saint Croix, the north access point provides a convenient entry to Big Marine Lake. This DNR-managed site offers decent parking and is popular with both summer boaters and ice fishers. Be aware that Mayberry Trail is a narrow, winding road that can be icy and slippery, particularly during winter months, so drive cautiously when accessing the site.

This is a shallow, unimproved boat launch that works best for smaller watercraft such as kayaks, canoes, and light recreational boats. Larger vessels may find launching difficult due to the shallow conditions and lack of improved infrastructure. Paddlers should expect a more rustic access experience compared to developed public launches, but it provides good access to explore Big Marine Lake's waters.
