The river is approximately 8.7 miles long in this section and drains a 11,836-square-mile watershed. Expect a large river environment with minimal current and elevation change, making it accessible for leisurely paddling, sightseeing, and exploration of historical sites related to Bladensburg's heritage as a former port.
