About This Access Site
Located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Port Angeles Harbor, Boat Haven West Ramp provides convenient access to one of the Pacific Northwest's premier saltwater paddling and cruising destinations. The facility can accommodate vessels up to 50 feet in length and is situated closer to the open Pacific Ocean than any other Puget Sound port, making it an ideal launch point for coastal exploration and offshore trips. Both single-day and annual launch permits are available for purchase at the harbormaster's office.

Beyond the ramp itself, the Port Angeles Boat Haven offers extensive support services including 24/7 pump-out stations, fuel, electricity, and full moorage facilities. The marina features easy customs access for international travel and is connected to the scenic 25-mile Olympic Discovery Trail—a wheelchair-accessible asphalt path perfect for pre- or post-paddling walks or bike rides. For overnight visitors, Heart O' the Hills Campground is located approximately 10 miles away via Hurricane Ridge Road. Contact the Harbormaster at (360) 565-3130 for current permit information and facility details.
