About This Access Site
Located at 4190 Bob Perry Road in Kitty Hawk, the Bob Perry Boat Ramp provides convenient public access to Kitty Hawk Bay and Albemarle Sound via Jean Guite Creek. The facility features a single concrete ramp, courtesy docks, and parking for approximately 18-30 vehicles with trailers. To reach the ramp, take U.S. 158 (the bypass) to West Kitty Hawk Road, then turn left onto Bob Perry Road and look for the Dare County Public Boat Ramp sign.

This is an ideal launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the shallow waters of the Outer Banks' sound system. The protected bay and creek access make it well-suited for paddling and recreational boating. Amenities include gravel parking with handicap accessibility, wooden walkways, bathrooms, a picnic area, and a small canal leading to open sound waters. The site is maintained by Dare County and offers easy access to some of North Carolina's historic and scenic coastal areas.
