About This Access Site
Located in Reedsport on the Umpqua River, Bolin Island provides boat ramp access to this popular paddling and fishing destination. The ramp serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the lower Umpqua River. **Use caution when launching and retrieving, as there are large voids between the concrete planks.**

**Important Health Advisory:** Oregon Health Authority has issued a permanent advisory for cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) on the Umpqua and South Umpqua Rivers. Check current conditions before paddling. The site is conveniently located near three reservable campgrounds—Tahkenitch, Umpqua Sand Camping, and Eel Creek—making it ideal for multi-day paddling trips. For additional access points, Fawn Creek Campground offers a quieter, undeveloped alternative with a small boat ramp at the confluence of Fawn Creek and Smith River.
