Brevik is a public boat access site on Leech Lake near Longville in Cass County, offering a concrete launch ramp for boaters and paddlers. The site features a 17-foot-wide ramp designed for safe and convenient water access. However, parking is extremely limited—the site was historically developed primarily for seasonal residents and cabin owners rather than day-use visitors. If you're planning to launch here, arrive early or consider nearby alternatives like Battle Point or the main Leech Lake public access areas.
The location provides quick access to popular fishing and paddling areas, including weed beds on the eastern side of Bear Island and proximity to Walker Bay and Kabekona Bay. Leech Lake is Minnesota's third-largest lake and offers excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating. As with most Minnesota public water accesses, there are no launch fees unless the site falls within a designated park requiring a vehicle permit. This site is best suited for paddlers with vehicles and trailers who can manage limited parking, or as a secondary launch option when primary access points are busy.
