About This Access Site
Bunch Hollow Boat Ramp provides access to the Powell River arm of Norris Lake in Claiborne County, Tennessee. This sandy, sloping boat ramp is well-suited for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats.

The Powell River in this area is relatively calm and slow-moving, as it is affected by the managed water levels of the Norris Lake reservoir. Water levels tend to be higher in the summer months and lower in the winter. Paddlers can launch from Bunch Hollow and then explore the surrounding coves and tributaries of the Powell River.

The boat ramp is located near the intersection of Yoakum Crossroad, offering a convenient access point to this section of Norris Lake. Nearby recreation areas include the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, which preserves the historic gateway to the American West. Boaters and paddlers should be aware of changing water levels and plan their trip accordingly.
