Burge's Camp is a public launch facility on the western shore of Lake Bistineau in Webster Parish, Louisiana. This access point is particularly valuable during the lake's seasonal drawdown periods, when it remains one of only a few public launch areas still operational. The ramp and accompanying loading dock are designed to accommodate increased traffic during peak recreational seasons in summer and fall.
The surrounding area offers a scenic setting with mixed hardwood forests, cypress and tupelo stands, and open water views. Paddlers and boaters can expect a well-developed recreational area with additional amenities in the vicinity, including nearby camping, cabins, hiking and biking trails, and fishing access. The lake itself provides excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. This location is a solid choice for accessing Lake Bistineau's waters, especially when other ramps may be inaccessible due to water level fluctuations.
