The Burkesville boat ramp provides access to the Cumberland River tailwater below Wolf Creek Dam. Located in downtown Burkesville off Bank Street (a loop road near the courthouse square), the ramp can typically accommodate 10 or more boats and has a dedicated parking area. The ramp serves as a convenient take-out point approximately 4.5 miles downstream from Wolf Creek Dam, making it a popular spot for day trips in this section.
Paddlers and boaters should be aware of two shallow spots in the immediate vicinity of the ramp that can be navigated with power trim equipped vessels. The tailwater section here is known for excellent rainbow trout fishing. For more information or to plan your trip, contact Traces on The Cumberland at (270) 433-5898 or visit traces@duo-county.com.
