About This Access Site
The Butman Road boat ramp provides public access to Lake Lancer, an impoundment located in Butman Township, Gladwin County. This is the primary public access point on the east side of the lake, making it a convenient launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring this 1976-created reservoir.

**Access & Fees:** Daily boat launch passes are available on an honor system at the parking area for $10.00. Annual passes are also offered at $35.00 for Butman Township residents (proof of residency required) and $45.00 for non-residents. The site is located off Hockaday Road in the Butman area of Gladwin County.

Lake Lancer is suitable for a variety of paddling activities and recreational boating. The impoundment offers a calm water experience compared to flowing rivers, making it accessible for paddlers of varying skill levels. Arrive with small bills ready if purchasing a daily pass, as the system operates on the honor system.
