Buttercup

Buttercup is a dedicated day-use boat ramp facility located on Lake Cascade near Donnelly in Valley County, Idaho. The ramp features two courtesy docks for loading and unloading, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The access point has its own separate entrance from the adjacent Buttercup Campground, and the parking area also serves as overflow parking for campers. This makes it a straightforward stop for day-use boaters without the need to navigate through the campground.

Lake Cascade is a reservoir formed by Cascade Dam as part of the Boise and Payette River Basins system. In addition to the boat ramp and docks, the facility includes vault toilets, picnic tables, and disability-accessible amenities. The nearby Buttercup Campground offers 28-30 campsites if you're planning an overnight trip. For paddlers needing safety equipment, note that life jacket loaner stations are available at multiple access points around the lake, including Buttercup. The site's day-use area is well-maintained with landscaped grounds, making it a pleasant spot to launch for a day on the water.
