About This Access Site
Caddo Lake State Park offers an improved boat ramp providing convenient access to Big Cypress Bayou and the expansive 26,810-acre Caddo Lake. Located in Harrison County near Karnack, this TPWD-maintained facility is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to explore one of Texas's unique ecological areas. The ramp is well-developed with associated amenities including picnic tables and a fishing pier.

The bayou and lake system support excellent recreational opportunities with over 70 fish species present. Beyond paddling, the state park features nature trails, screen shelters, and various camping options (campsites with and without hookups, as well as cabin rentals), making it suitable for day trips or extended stays. Note that no fishing license is required to fish from shore within state park boundaries. Additional services and lodging are available at nearby marinas around Caddo Lake.
