Caddo Park offers convenient access to Lavon Lake via a well-maintained four-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock, making it an excellent choice for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. Located on the east shore near Farmersville, the park is easily reached from Highway 78—follow FM 6 west or take SH 78 east from Wylie toward CR 486 (Lake Road). The ramp is situated within the park, with an additional four-lane ramp just outside the main entrance for extra capacity during peak use times.
Beyond the launch facilities, Caddo Park provides several amenities that enhance a day on the water. ADA-accessible fishing ponds, a fishing pier, picnic tables, and nature trails are available for visitors. Anglers will appreciate access to Lavon Lake's 26,810 acres, which support more than 70 fish species. Note that no fishing license is required to fish from shore at state park facilities. For those planning extended stays, the park offers screen shelters, cabins, and campsites with and without hookups.
