Camp Azalea Public Boat Ramp

**Location & Access:**
Camp Azalea is a public boat ramp located in Levy County on the lower Suwannee River, positioned on the east bank as you head downriver. The ramp provides convenient access to approximately 20 miles of the scenic Suwannee River corridor within the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge, as well as the coastal marsh habitat along the Gulf of Mexico.

**Paddling & Boating:**
This ramp is well-positioned for day trips and longer paddling expeditions, with numerous established camps and shelters located at regular intervals downriver (Cedar Hammock Canoe Shelter, Butler Island Campsite, and others are typically 1-2 miles away). The lower Suwannee is a popular destination for kayakers and canoeists seeking to explore diverse ecosystems. As with other Suwannee River access points, boaters should maintain safe speeds and watch for floating debris, which can be a hazard even in normal conditions.
