About This Access Site
Camp Creek Park offers a public boat launch on Lake Travis, the Colorado River impoundment in Burnet County near Marble Falls. Located on FM 1431 at County Road 343 (approximately 18 miles west of Lago Vista and 8 miles east of Marble Falls), this facility provides convenient water access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The park includes 16 campsites, non-flushing restrooms, water access, and picnic areas, making it suitable for day trips or overnight camping adventures.

The Colorado River in this section is a major waterway with significant flow (averaging 2,220 cubic feet per second) and current (7.75 feet/second), so paddlers should be prepared for moderate conditions. As part of Lake Travis, paddlers will encounter reservoir conditions rather than free-flowing river characteristics. The area is situated near the scenic Balcones Canyonlands with its rugged terrain and oak-juniper woodlands. **Note:** Check current water conditions before visiting, as the area periodically experiences low water levels that may affect launch accessibility.
