About This Access Site
Camp Lester Fish Camp provides a well-maintained boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats onto the Kissimmee River in Polk County. The facility offers good-to-excellent ramp conditions along with parking and trailer storage. This access point is particularly valuable as it launches upstream of the water control structure and boat lock (Structure 65), providing paddlers with direct access to the northern sections of the river without needing to navigate the lock system.

The site is situated on Cobb Marsh along the Kissimmee River, a major freshwater waterway in Central Florida's Atlantic Coastal Plain. Amenities include on-site fuel and ice, electricity for battery charging, and a 78-slip covered marina. For paddlers planning an outing, note that cell service and internet access within the park may be limited or unavailable. For reservations or additional information, contact the Florida State Parks reservations line at 800-326-3521 (TDD: 888-433-0287) or visit the official Florida State Parks reservations website.
