Canyon Lakes East provides boat ramp access to the North Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River in Lubbock. This urban waterway has been dammed to create a series of narrow lakes known collectively as Canyon Lakes. The North Fork is a relatively modest stream within city limits, typically less than 1,500 feet wide and no deeper than 50 feet, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small recreational boats.
This access point is one of several ramps serving the Canyon Lakes system in Lubbock. Expect a narrow channel and shallow water conditions typical of this impoundment. An entrance and/or boat ramp fee may apply. Before launching, check current water levels and conditions, as lake levels can fluctuate seasonally. The site is well-suited for paddlers looking for a calm, urban waterway experience close to Lubbock.
