Captain's Cove Marina provides a well-developed boat launch on Lake Ray Hubbard's East Fork Trinity River arm in Garland. The facility features a four-lane concrete ramp with two courtesy docks and parking for approximately 50 vehicles, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. To reach the marina from I-30, take exit 61 toward Zion Road, stay on the access road to Marina Drive, then turn south—the marina entrance is on the left.
Lake Ray Hubbard is a large reservoir spanning 22,745 acres across Dallas, Kaufman, Collin, and Rockwall counties, with a maximum depth of 40 feet. The calm, impounded waters created by the Rockwall-Forney Dam make this an excellent destination for recreational paddling, fishing, and boating. The lake supports a variety of activities including wildlife watching and water sports, with additional amenities and launch options available at nearby Chandler's Landing Marina if needed.
