About This Access Site
Located in Milton along the scenic Blackwater River, Carpenter's Park South offers a well-developed launch facility with two concrete ramps providing four total launching lanes. The park features courtesy docks, ample parking (21 dedicated trailer spots plus overflow parking across the street), and full amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and a playground. The facility is operated by the City of Milton and provides convenient access to this popular paddling destination.

The Blackwater River is a tidal, mangrove-lined waterway known for excellent fishing and scenic paddling. Be aware that portions of the river are narrow and shallow during low tide, so timing your launch around tidal conditions is recommended. This is an ideal launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the river's natural character, though boaters should plan accordingly for variable water depths.
