Cathead Landing is a public boat ramp providing access to Lake Marion in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. Located approximately 3.5 miles north of Eutawville off SC Highway 6 (via Monks Corner Road and Lakeview Drive), this two-lane ramp offers convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The facility includes a courtesy dock and gravel parking for about 30 vehicles and trailers, making it suitable for small group outings.
Lake Marion is a large impoundment ideal for paddlers seeking calm-water recreation. The ramp's location in the Fountain Lakes area positions it well for exploring the upper portions of this 110,600-acre lake. Keep in mind that facilities are minimal—there are no restrooms on-site—so plan accordingly. The site works well for day trips and recreational paddling, with nearby Santee National Wildlife Refuge offering additional exploration opportunities for wildlife viewing and scenic paddling.
