Cedar Valley Park offers a paved boat ramp providing convenient access to the Cedar River in West Branch, Cedar County. This is a well-maintained public access point suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site includes primitive camping areas with vault toilet facilities, making it a practical stop for multi-day paddling trips. The location also serves as an eBird hotspot, so wildlife viewing opportunities are notable.
This access point works well as part of longer Cedar River paddling routes. Paddlers coming from upstream (such as from Palisades Kepler State Park) can reach Cedar Valley after approximately 18 miles of recreational-class paddling. The site's position in the West Branch area makes it suitable for beginner to intermediate paddlers exploring this section of the Cedar River. Plan accordingly if paddling multi-day trips, as primitive camping is available on-site.
