About This Access Site
Cedron Creek offers a convenient two-lane boat ramp located at mid-lake on Whitney Lake, just west of the Katy Bridge. The ramp includes a courtesy dock and serves as day-use access to this expansive reservoir on the Brazos River. A day-use fee is charged during the April through September season, though the ramp remains open year-round. This location is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the main channel of Whitney Lake or paddle nearby creek areas.

The site is part of a larger Cedron Creek Campground facility managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, offering amenities including restrooms, showers, and a playground. The campground has 40+ campsites with electric and water hookups, making it a good option for multi-day paddling trips. To reach the ramp from Whitney, take FM 933 north, turn west on FM 1713, cross the bridge over the lake, and continue about a quarter mile to the park entrance on the left. For more information, contact the facility at 254-622-3332.
