About This Access Site
Centennial Park offers convenient access to the Snake River near Twin Falls with dedicated facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The site features a recently improved boat ramp, kayak launch, boat trailer parking, restrooms, and picnic areas with benches and a large deck overlooking the river. The park's open grassy slopes and riverside setting make it suitable for both recreational paddling and larger events.

The Snake River at this location is a major waterway—a large, powerful stream (USGS Stream Order 9) with an average flow of nearly 50,000 cubic feet per second and velocities around 11 feet per second. Paddlers should be aware that this section has a moderate gradient of approximately 15.8 feet per mile, creating dynamic current conditions. Note that watercraft launched anywhere between Broken Bridge and Hansen Bridge must be inspected at Centennial Park, Shoshone Falls, or Twin Falls Reservoir before launch and decontaminated upon exit to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.
