Red Lake River, Hwy 1 State Water Access Site

**Location & Access:** Centennial Park offers a public boat ramp on the Red Lake River in Thief River Falls, conveniently located near Highway 1. This access point provides a straightforward launch for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats into this popular paddling river. A daily boat permit ($5) is required and can be obtained at the boathouse.

**Operating Season & Practical Details:** The ramp operates seasonally from March through November, making it ideal for spring through fall paddling. The park itself is open from 7:00 a.m. to dusk. This is an excellent starting point for exploring the Red Lake River and accessing the Minnesota water trail system, which features paddling routes along the Red River and its tributaries.
