About This Access Site
The Chattooga Bridge boat ramp provides access to the Coosa River and Weiss Lake in northeastern Alabama. This is a concrete boat ramp located just off AL Highway 68, about 5 miles northeast of the town of Cedar Bluff.

The ramp is situated on the Coosa River, which in this area forms the northern part of Weiss Lake. The Coosa is a large, navigable river with a generally slow current. Weiss Lake extends for over 30 miles along the Coosa, offering ample opportunities for paddling, fishing, and motorboating. The lake and river are popular destinations for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium-sized powerboats.

Nearby recreation areas include the Little River Canyon National Preserve, located just a short drive away. Paddlers may also want to explore the Mud Creek boat launch or Brushy Branch Park, which provide additional access points to Weiss Lake. As with any river or lake, boaters should use caution and be aware of changing water levels, especially after heavy rains.
