Cheboygan State Park offers direct access to Lake Huron via a boat ramp located three miles east of Cheboygan on US-23. To reach the park, take I-75 to exit 326, head east through town on US-23, and look for the entrance on the north side of the road. This is a popular access point for kayakers and boaters looking to paddle on Lake Huron's open waters.
Be aware that the launch can experience congestion during peak usage times, which may make launching challenging on busy days. If you prefer calmer conditions, consider visiting during off-peak hours or exploring alternative launch sites in the Cheboygan area. From this location, paddlers have the option to explore the Cheboygan River system upstream through the city or venture out onto Lake Huron, offering flexibility for different trip preferences and skill levels.
