Chock-a-Block

Chock-a-Block is a public boat launch providing access to Lake Leon, a large reservoir located just east of Eastland, Texas on FM Road 2214. The ramp accommodates kayaks, canoes, and motorboats, making it a versatile entry point for paddlers and anglers. The launch area includes picnic facilities and a bait shop nearby, with ADA-accessible fishing piers available for those interested in fishing from shore.

Lake Leon offers open water paddling with good visibility from elevated areas, though shore fishing access is limited to the immediate ramp vicinity. Parking capacity at the launch is approximately 50 vehicles. For additional amenities and camping options, nearby Inez Spring River Front Park—located at the upper end of the lake—features a two-lane concrete ramp, full-service resort facilities, and camping areas. Before launching, check current water conditions and confirm any seasonal restrictions or access requirements.
