Chris Anderson (Highway 9 Bridge)

Chris Anderson Landing, also known as Highway 9 Landing, is a public boat ramp providing access to the Waccamaw River in Longs, Horry County. The facility features a single paved boat ramp with a floating dock, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Additional amenities include a paved parking lot, trash receptacles, and a chemical toilet.

These characteristics make it generally suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels. From this landing, you have access to 145 miles of river downstream to the river mouth, with multiple other public landings available along the way, including Red Bluff Landing and smaller options at Star Bluff Road and Big Savannah Bluff, providing flexibility for trip planning.
