About This Access Site
Christine Lake is a 184-acre lake located in Lutsen, Cook County, Minnesota, offering a public boat launch for paddlers and boaters. The lake has a maximum depth of 7 feet and provides access to a scenic recreational area. Most boats up to 12-18 feet can be launched at this ramp, though some access points may accommodate larger vessels. There are no launch fees unless the site is within a park requiring a vehicle permit.

This access point is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore a relatively shallow lake with calm waters, particularly at the north end. The lake is also popular for various water activities including tubing, waterskiing, and swimming. Note that the area connects to backcountry camping opportunities—if you're planning an overnight trip, be aware that nearby backcountry sites are first-come, first-served and require knowledge of Leave No Trace principles, including proper food storage, water treatment, and fire management.
