Church Street Power Boat Ramp

Located in Evanston along Lake Michigan's Chicago shoreline, the Church Street Power Boat Ramp provides vehicle and trailer parking access via gate card and hang tag permit system. The ramp itself is unprotected, so paddlers and boaters should be prepared for open Lake Michigan conditions. Vessels must display a valid permit on the starboard bow (front right). Season permits for Evanston residents are $35, with daily rates available at $7.50 for residents and $10 for non-residents.

This facility serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats launching onto Lake Michigan. The parking area accommodates trailers on a space-available basis with your hang tag permit. Power outlets are available near the boat launch and picnic areas, which may be convenient for preparing equipment or running electronics.
