About This Access Site
Located on the northwest corner of Susan Lake within Lake Susan Park in Chanhassen, this public boat ramp offers convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp is suitable for launching vessels up to 18 feet, with no launch fees required. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 17 feet and supports populations of Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Bluegill, and Black Bullhead, making it a popular spot for both paddling and fishing.

The park provides excellent amenities beyond water access, including a fishing pier adjacent to the ramp, bike paths along the north and west shores, a swimming beach, picnic areas, and a reservable picnic shelter. These features make City Park a full-service destination for a day on the water. Be aware that Susan Lake contains invasive species including Eurasian Watermilfoil and Curlyleaf Pondweed—clean your equipment before and after use to prevent further spread.
