About This Access Site
Clatskanie City Park offers a convenient public boat launch for paddlers and small boaters on the Clatskanie River in northwest Oregon. The ramp is approximately 12 feet wide and well-suited for kayaks, canoes, and other small craft. Located at the intersection of US 30 and Highway 47 within Clatskanie city limits, this full-service day-use park provides paved parking, restrooms, and picnic facilities with barbecue grills.

From the launch, paddlers have direct access to the Clatskanie River with the option to paddle approximately one mile downstream to the Columbia River. The park features amenities including boarding floats to assist with launching and loading. This is one of two publicly accessible parks along the Clatskanie River in the area, making it a popular starting point for day trips and fishing access. The facility is maintained by the city and provides an excellent base for exploring this section of the river.
