Clay Bluff is a well-developed public boat ramp located in the southwest corner of Pat Mayse Lake near Paris, Lamar County, Texas. The facility features two concrete launch lanes and offers gravel parking, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and larger powerboats. The ramp provides convenient access to Pat Mayse Lake, a 5,940-acre impoundment on Sanders Creek (a Red River tributary) with a maximum depth of 55 feet and moderately stained water clarity.
This access point is ideal for paddlers seeking a reliable launch with nearby amenities. The lake offers year-round recreation with moderate water fluctuations (2-4 feet). Nearby Pat Mayse East Campground provides 85 campsites with electric hookups, a dump station, pit toilets, and drinking water—making it convenient for multi-day trips.
