Clear Lake

Clear Lake is a 652-acre lake located in Bingham Lake, Cottonwood County, offering a medium-sized county-owned boat ramp on the southeast shore. The access features a single concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. With a maximum depth of 8 feet and approximately 3 miles of shoreline, this is an ideal destination for recreational paddling and fishing. The relatively shallow water makes it manageable for paddlers of various skill levels.

The access site is conveniently located near the Windom Wetland Management District, adding scenic paddling opportunities in the surrounding area. An 84-foot handicapped accessible fishing pier is within walking distance north of the boat ramp, making this a family-friendly destination. The ramp accommodates multiple vehicles for loading and unloading, though capacity may be limited during peak times. Paddlers should check current water conditions and wind forecasts before launching, as shallow lakes can be affected by weather changes.
