The Cloverdale boat ramp provides access to the lower Nestucca River, a 50-100 foot wide waterway popular with drift boaters and anglers. Located at the junction of Sollie Smith Bridge Road in Cloverdale, Tillamook County, this is one of four public launch points on the Nestucca (alongside Farmer Creek, Three Rivers, and Pacific City). The ramp serves as both a launch and take-out spot for paddlers exploring the river's lower reaches.
**Important Access Note:** Access to the ramp requires crossing Cloverdale Sanitation District (CSD) property, and there is a fee associated with this right. Boaters should plan accordingly and verify current access arrangements before launching. Bank access on the lower river is otherwise limited due to extensive private land ownership, making this public ramp a key asset for water-based recreation in the area.
The nearby Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge (1,202 acres) offers additional paddling and wildlife viewing opportunities where the Nestucca and Little Nestucca Rivers converge. Several campgrounds are located within 10 miles, including Castle Rock Group Campground and facilities at Sand Lake Recreation Area, making this a convenient base for multi-day paddling trips.
