Codorus State Park's main boat ramp provides public access to Lake Marburg, a 1,275-acre impoundment on the West Branch Codorus Creek in southern York County. The concrete ramp is approximately 24 feet wide with a gradual slope, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, motorboats (up to 20 hp), and sailboats. The lake offers 26 miles of shoreline for exploration and is popular for warmwater fishing and recreational boating.
Before launching, paddlers and boaters should note that a launch permit is required to use the ramp and can be obtained at the park office or self-registration stations near the launch area. All watercraft must be properly registered with the state. The park is open year-round for fishing, boating, and camping, and serves as an important rest stop for migrating waterfowl and shorebirds.
